About the Role
There will be a key focus on integrating the accounting functions of all the acquisitions. The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing and consolidating the financial results, whilst also undertaking analysis to help with strategic financial planning. In addition, there will be a significant operational focus with the need to understand the business drivers. For that reason, we are looking for someone with business partnering skills. The position will have responsibility for leading and managing a Finance team (currently 4 people but growing rapidly), so strong man management is important.
Reporting to the CFO you will be tasked with the following:

Develop an effective finance function that is able to anticipate key challenges facing the business.

The day-to-day accounting function.

Production of monthly management accounts and commentary.

Budgeting and reforecasting processes.

Preparation of Consolidated Statutory Accounts and returns.

Reporting on KPI’s and creating appropriate analytical reports for circulation to the senior management teams.

Monitoring and management of working capital.

Acquisition accounting and consolidation process.

Lead contact for the external auditors during audit process.

Ad hoc duties to support the CEO and CFO.

All Group tax and VAT matters.

Driving process improvements.

Implementing a new, fit for purpose, finance system.
What you will need:

At least one years’ experience working as a Group Financial Controller or you could be ready for your next step up.

Qualified ACA / ACCA / ACMA / CIMA.

Experience of working in a rapid growth environment.

Management experience that demonstrates an ability to nurture talent.

Excellent MS Office skills.

Strong technical finance and accounting experience.

Group consolidation and reporting experience.

Dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills.

Understanding of latest accounting standards.
